In this context, particular attention is paid to the doctor-patient relationship and the role of politics, science and the healthcare industry. <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">A fundamental prerequisite for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is <strong>trust in digital innovation<\/strong>. This is also underlined by the European Commission in its proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down harmonised rules on Artificial Intelligence (EU AI ACT). There, it proclaims that <strong>&#8220;Europe should become the global center for trusted artificial intelligence&#8221;<\/strong><span class=\"s2\"> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">In healthcare, trust plays a particularly important role, as AI requires large amounts of data for its &#8220;training&#8221; and, according to the GDPR, healthcare data is particularly sensitive and therefore extremely worthy of protection. In addition to <span class=\"s1\">the <strong>doctor-patient relationship<\/strong> and <strong>evidence-based trust-building<\/strong>, there is a need<\/span> <span class=\"s1\"><strong>for trustworthy regulation, transparent communication<\/strong><\/span> <strong>by policymakers, AI thoroughly researched and developed by academia<\/strong>, and <strong>transparent application by the healthcare industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">This becomes particularly clear when you look at Israel. <span class=\"s1\">The medical profession, startups, business, and politics are working together in hospital innovation hubs to establish trustworthy AI applications<\/span>. <strong>Close <span class=\"s1\">cooperation between Germany and Israel<\/span> in terms of trust in AI<\/strong> is particularly useful with regard to <span class=\"s1\">establishing trust-promoting development and regulation of AI in the healthcare sector<\/span>. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cf17c79 elementor-align-center elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"cf17c79\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"button.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-button-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-lg\" href=\"https:\/\/gihf-ai.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/GIHF-AI_PolicyBriefing_KommVer_ENG.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">Publication<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e77c574 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e77c574\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6208325\" data-id=\"6208325\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Policy Briefing addresses the need for trust in digital innovations such as AI.
