SUMMARY:Digital Health Delegation to Tel Aviv (10.-14.11.2024)
DESCRIPTION:The collaboration between Germany and Israel has been remarkably fruitful\, as German Health Minister Lauterbach noted at the GIHF-AI Conference 2024: „I remember sitting with Ran Balicer\, drawing on a napkin what later became German law.“ This delegation aims to build on this legacy\, fostering deeper connections and innovation partnerships. As part of a high-ranking delegation from the German healthcare system — including policymakers\, health experts\, practitioners\, and business representatives — participants will explore the vibrant Israeli ecosystem\, exchange ideas\, and plan concrete collaboration projects with leaders of Israeli health institutions and governmental representatives. The delegation will also visit healthcare facilities and engage in pre-organized workshops and one-on-one meetings to dive deep into focus topics. \n  \n[pdf-embedder url=“https://gihf-ai.eu/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/DHD-November-2024.pdf“ title=“DHD November 2024″] \n  \nThis project is co-financed from tax funds based on the budget passed by the members of the Parliament of the Free State of Saxony.

SUMMARY:GIHF-AI Digital Mental Health Table: Coping with trauma in times of war and beyond
DESCRIPTION:This roundtable is hosted by the European Leadership Network (ELNET) following the brutal attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7\, 2023. In the aftermath of it\, the entire country is suffering under this traumatic event and the ongoing war against Hamas. The impact on Israel’s healthcare system\, particularly in the realm of Mental Health\, is profound. ELNET has been fostering connections between the German and Israeli healthcare ecosystems through its German Israeli Health Forum for Artificial Intelligence (GIHF-AI) since 2021\, with the goal of mutual support and learning. \nTherefore\, this event on Digital Mental Health aims to assess both the immediate and future needs of Israel in the context of expected pathologies and available therapies\, also taking into account the availability of medical personnel. The focus will be on sharing German expertise\, experiences\, and approaches\, specifically within the mental health ecosystem\, digital mental health applications\, study results\, and relevant use cases. Additionally\, the objective is to explore ways in which German health experts and institutions can offer practical support to their Israeli counterparts during these critical times. \nAGENDA

SUMMARY:DMEA eHealthHotSeat 2.0.: Was können Deutschland und Israel voneinander lernen?
DESCRIPTION:Traditional event formats are often not very lively. There is a lack of interaction between interest groups and they end in elaborate Q&As. Following the fascinating insights gained from the #eHealthHotSeat of recent years our interactive Q&A format is getting an update – welcome to the #eHealthHotSeat2.0!\nIn order to bring more diversity and a fresh momentum to our traditional format\, this year two hot seats will be occupied by digitalisation experts from two countries with a common goal. Furthermore\, we will be discussing the various approaches and prospects among the wide range of topics concerning the digital transformation of the healthcare system.\nWhat can Israel and Germany learn from each other? What obstacles can we overcome together? What will healthcare look like in the future?\nAs usual\, the questions will come from the audience and social media and deal with the entire spectrum of healthcare.\n—\nThis session is organised and held in cooperation with ELNET Deutschland.

SUMMARY:DMEA Roundtable: A German-Israeli dialogue about Digital Health & AI
DESCRIPTION:Israel’s efficient and modern healthcare system attracted international attention at the latest during the corona pandemic\, which earned the young Mid¬dle Eastern state with a population of around 9 mil¬lion the titles „vaccination world champion“. This was helped in particular by the country’s high¬ly digitized healthcare system and the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the medical context. A close exchange with Israel\, where the digitization of the healthcare system began more than 25 years ago and whose healthcare industry is now one of the leading beneficiaries of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)\, brings enormous po¬tential for Germany. \nThe panel will give an overview about Israel’s digital health ecosystem and demonstrate the potential of AI-based digital health applications\, while touching upon the necessary regulatory framework in the EU and Germany and the question of communication and trust required to facilitate development and implementation of digital health apps. \nPresented by ELNET-Germany and its innovation projects the German Israeli Health Forum for Artificial Intelligence (GIHF-AI) and the German Israeli Network of Startups and Mittelstand (GINSUM). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n22
