Carsten Ovens

Executive Director, ELNET-Germany
Carsten Ovens has been the Executive Director of ELNET Germany since March 2019. He can look back on almost two decades of political work, including as a member of the Hamburg Parliament. For many years he has been committed to strengthening relations between Germany and Israel with a special focus on innovations and startups. After studying economics in Hamburg and Sydney, he worked for more than ten years as a project manager in the areas of business development, management consulting and scientific research.

Lea Ledwon

Program Manager GIHF-AI, ELNET-Germany
Lea Ledwon has extensive experience in the German healthcare system. Before she was responsible for the communication work of several clinics, she headed the office of the Freundeskreis der Charité. During her stay in Israel for several years, she worked at the Peres Center for Peace. She holds a BA in Government, Diplomacy and Strategy from Reichman University IDC Herzliya and an MA in Peace & Conflict Management Studies from the University of Haifa. At ELNET she heads the German Israeli Health Forum for Artificial Intelligence (GIHF-AI).

Feelgood Manager
Axel has been a member of the team since December 2022. As Feelgood Manager, he is responsible for the well-being in the Berlin office. He works across projects in this role. Axel has extensive experience in intercultural cooperation and coexistence. Until November 2022, he lived in a Spanish multigenerational village. There he was responsible for the area of "Emotional Well-Being". In addition, he is familiar with Israeli culture through his family environment.
Genoveva Barrios

Genoveva Barrios

Project Coordinator GIHF-AI, ELNET-Israel
Genoveva Barrios is the Project Coordinator for ELNET's innovation projects GINSUM and GIHF-AI in the Israeli office. She studied Intercultural Communication and Economics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen and then worked in the real estate industry for several years. While focussing first on the sales and later on the asset management field, she completed a second bachelor degree in real estate. After moving to Israel in 2021, Genoveva Barrios was able to gain extensive experience in the Israeli high-tech and innovation scene.
